Meet the Teachers:
Tiffany TrotterHi, I'm Tiffany! I was born and raised in the beautiful Cayman Islands where I lived until I was 18 years old. In 2010, my parents, three younger brothers, my dog, Lady, and myself moved to Colorado. A year after our move I began my career at Colorado State University. I have loved art my entire life and I was fortunate enough to grow up in a family who throughly supported my passion; so for as long as I can remember I have been making art of some kind. In my own work, paint is my medium of choice and I am currently focusing on endangered species. As I've gotten older and moved through my career as a student, I've found my passion for education and love for working with kids in the classroom. Over the last few years I have spent a lot of time observing classrooms and working with kids, including my time working with at-risk kids in Fort Collins through the Campus Corps program. My time working with at-risk and special needs students has engrained the importance of individualized instruction and recognizing each student as their own person. I look forward to combining my love for art with my passion for working with kids in the classroom.

Andrea CobbHi there! I'm Andie. I'm from the Northwest suburbs of Chicago. I moved here when I was 18 to go to school for psychology, however I unexpectedly found a deep love for teaching and need for pottery. So after the first semester at CSU, I changed my major to Art Education with an emphasis in pottery. I still deal with psychology in my artwork, though! I deal a lot with human emotions and disorders like anxiety as well as the road to recovery for those who have it. I do my best to research before each project by speaking with people about these things, anonymous or not.
My most recent work with students was with an internship at Breakthrough Collaborative at Kent in Denver where I taught physics to 7th graders for the summer. It has been the most life changing experience working with at risk youth who are eager to change the education statistics in their neighborhoods and aspire to graduate and move on forward to continue their greatness. I'm excited to work with these students and learn all of their individual artistic preferences and talents! This will be my first time with a class that isn't middle school so I'm excited to learn more about this new age group as well. |
