I am an architect!
Day 4
This week we continued our journey as architects with the following prompt:
While our dream homes still have some time left in the kiln (the machine that takes out all the water from our work so that it becomes permanent) we still have a lot to do with our environments. We looked at some images last week and we’ve seen some really great progress happening with our pieces. Today we are going to talk about and explore colors. What are the different colors we can make? How do we make those colors? What are the names of different groups of colors? This is what we will be exploring today! After that we will put our new knowledge of colors into action as we continue building our dioramas and making them the best they can be!

Today we gave the students the challenge of creating as many colors as they could as we learned about primary, secondary and analogous colors. Students then presented the colors they made and what they did to make those colors to the class. After the students finished presenting they got back to work on their dioramas.
In the video to the left, one student talks about mixing two primary colors together to make a secondary color and how he is using those colors in his diorama. |
